					<description>This is a great topic...it's so important for every employee, depending on their roles within the company, to recognize that they need to develop skills in managing up, across (peers) and down.   Most people don't think about managing their boss but rather how their manager is managing them.  Your post indicates that they need to be proactive...with the strong possibility that they will have a stronger working relationship with their manager.
